Paper submission

  • All papers must be prepared using the following Word Template.
  • Papers must be submitted as a single WORD file, following the template provided below, and throughout
        the Conference Maker (Deadline: January 15, 2018).
  • All the papers must be 5 to 6 pages in length with a maximum size of 8 MB.
  • They can be written in English or Spanish.
  • The number of submissions by author is not limited but only one paper per registered author will be accepted.

    Dear colleague,

    The Department of Economics of the University of Cantabria, in collaboration with the Research Group on Risk in Insurance and Finance of the University of Barcelona, is pleased to announce the 7th Workshop on Risk Management and Insurance Research (RISK, 2018), which will be held in Santander (Spain) from April 25 to April 27, 2018.

    In line with previous conferences, RISK 2018 will provide a platform to share new ideas, research results and development experiences in actuarial science and finance. In this edition, Prof. Dr. Enkelejd Hashorva (Université de Lausanne) will be the keynote speaker of the inaugural session.

    We are inviting both scholars and professionals with interest in those disciplines to participate in the conference by submitting their research papers. As in past editions, we have also organised a session for young researchers in which PhD students will present their doctoral thesis proposals. Papers can be submitted throughout the conference maker (see above), before January 15, 2018 . The Insurance Sciences Institute of Fundación MAPFRE will publish a special issue of “Cuadernos de la Fundación” including all the accepted papers presented at the conference.

    The RISK 2018 topics include, but are not limited to, the following ones:
